Mr. Adams is the founder of the Company and serves as its Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for the strategic development and expansion of the Company, consolidated financial performance of the business, organizational development and the day-to-day strategic leadership of the business. Mr. Adams also serves as President and Chairman of the Board of Advocate, MD Insurance of the Southwest Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company).

Background

Mr. Adams began his career with Xerox in 1985 where he established himself as a top sales producer before leaving to join Johnson & Johnson to specialize in surgical sales to physicians. In 1988, Mr. Adams joined Bostik-Findley, Inc., a $1.1 billion global manufacturing company. Over the next 12 years, Mr. Adams served in a variety of executive management positions including senior sales management and strategic business management roles for Bostik-Findley’s worldwide markets in North America, Latin America, Asia and Europe. In 1997, Mr. Adams was appointed Global Sales Director and served as General Manager of Nitta-Findley Company based in Osaka, Japan. As Global Sales Director, Mr. Adams managed the Worldwide Sales Team, Customer Service Team and International Support Team and was responsible for $168 million in revenue.

In 2000, Mr. Adams purchased a minority ownership interest in one of the largest industrial adhesives distributorships in the United States. There as Vice President and General Manager, he led the company to achieve 70% growth in sales and a 100% growth in net income from 2000 to 2003.

Mr. Adams holds a B.B.A. Degree in Marketing from Texas State University and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University. He also serves on the Board of Directors of seven organizations including Public (NASDAQ), Private, and non-profit corporations.

Awards and Recognitions

Mr. Adams was awarded the prestigious Central Texas Ernst & Young 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year Award at a black tie gala in May. Mark was also a finalist for the award in 2007.
