Mr. Morton joined Advocate, MD in 2007 and is responsible for the development and implementation of risk management products, services and education.

Background

Mr. Morton began his career in 1990 as a Risk Manager at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso, TX. After moving to Austin in 1994, he joined American Physicians Insurance Exchange where he built a comprehensive risk management program with a heavy emphasis on individual and group practice risk management consultation and specialty specific loss prevention services for physicians. Mr. Morton is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) and a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management. He is also recognized as an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) by the American Institute for CPCU and Insurance Institute of America.

Mr. Morton earned his BA in English and Minor in Business Management from the University of Texas, El Paso in 1990.
