Coverage Types
- Professional Liability Coverage provides coverage for the professional services you personally provided or should have provided to your patients
- Professional Liability Coverage for Physician Groups (Entity) provides your group with protection for the corporation, partnership or professional association as a separate entity, and is available only as an add-on to professional liability coverage for a group of physicians.

Policy Benefits
- Consent to Settle Provision is required by the named insured to make or conclude an offer to settle a claim. Advocate, D.O. will not settle a claim without the physician's written consent.
- Financial Strength with an A- (Excellent) rating by A.M. Best and over $1 billion in Assets. For the latest rating, access http://www.ambest.com.
- Free Tail Coverage is available if the physician has been an Advocate, D.O. insured for 5 consecutive years, is older than 55 years of age and has completely retired from the practice of medicine. It is also available in the event of disability or death.
- Part-Time Coverage is available to physicians in non-surgical specialties who practice less than 20 hours per week.
- Policy Limits are available in a wide range varying from $100,000/$300,000 to $1,000,000/$3,000,000.
- Prior Acts Coverage (Retroactive Coverage) is available to most physicians.
- Texas Medical Board Defense is covered up to $20,000 per claim, requires no deductible and is not part of the policy limits.
